The best part about yoga is that no one can be “bad at yoga”.  If you are new, and want some additional attention, or a slower paced class to learn the basics, we have many options to safely assist you in beginning a yoga practice.  We offer beginner yoga classes as well as special Beginner Series throughout the year for our BRAND new yogis.

How to prepare for your first (heated or non-heated) yoga class...

Clothing
We recommend wearing clothing that you are comfortable in, that easily allows for movement; for our heated studio especially, it's best to wear light, breathable clothing, and anything that is moisture-wicking as the room is heated (and you will sweat!)

Preparing
Try to avoid eating a heavy meal 2 hours before the practice, and come to class on a (semi) empty stomach.  Drink plenty of water prior to class, and be sure to bring extra water bottles to class as well (water bottles available for purchase at the studio).

What to Bring
Just yourself!  If you are newer to yoga and do not own your own mat, no worries!  We have mats available for rent at the studio, as well as every yoga prop imaginable to assist you in your practice.  Our studio is also equipped with changing rooms, bathrooms, towel service, and water bottles.

Yoga Etiquette

• Try to arrive 15-20 minutes prior to class start. In order to not disrupt our students' practice, we do not permit entrance into the studio 15 min. after the class has started
• Please remove your shoes before entering any of the studio rooms
• No cell phones are permitted inside of the studio.  Our lobby is always attended by a member of our staff, and we encourage you to leave your belongings in the storage cubbies we have in our lounge
• Please choose the level class that is appropriate to you and your practice.  If you have any questions about what level is right for you, we encourage you to call the studio and speak with a member of our staff who can assist in finding the right class for you
• Leaving class early.  We know how busy schedules are these days.  If for any reason you need to leave class early, please set up your mat in the back of the room to not disrupt the other students when you leave, and also kindly let the teacher know before class starts (we also strongly recommend leaving before savasana, the final resting post, and also taking a savasana on your own before you leave class)

• Most importantly, HAVE FUN!
